Sara Andrew, a Senior Designer at NewCity, was selected as the Event Photographer at the annual Friesian Horse Inspection in Tennessee this week. Good photography is not an easy thing to achieve, but Sara's ability to capture the subject as well as the emotion of the moment is gaining a lot of attention around here. When you combine Sara's design eye with her photography skills, you have something pretty special.

NewCity folks generally are skilled in a few different areas, but it is nice when one of those skills meshes nicely with a personal passion. Sara started becoming seriously involved in photography a few years ago - about the same time she began to consider buying a Friesian horse. It is tricky to capture black horses that are running around, and Sara took the challenge seriously. As she posted her photos of the horses and people who love them, something became obvious. Sara has that unique ability to somehow capture the feeling of the moment, and soon people began to know Sara for her work.

Over the past year Sara has begun to do more photography work at NewCity and with her own business at Dark Horse Photography. This week Sara had her first professional photo shoot. We are pretty excited about Sara's work and feel lucky to have someone here who can combine web design skills with emotive photography. There is no better way to tell a story.
